Our topic this week was Shape and Angles Maths homework will
be posted on the mathletics website. Please ask your teacher for a paper copy

Literacy (20mins):
This week we have been
looking at work by Kandinsky. We talked
about how different art work can create certain moods and feelings. We have also learnt about various artistic
techniques eg brush techniques and colour mixing. Choose one of the Kandinsky pieces. Describe the piece of art work in detail.
What shapes can you see? What does it remind you of? How was it painted? How
does it make you feel?

I can see a crescent,a pickaxe,allot of triangles,allot of bumpy lines,allot of circles.This picture reminds me of war,peace,knights,blue fire,a crossbow and spikes.This picture makes me feel like I'm in war, then at the front of a castle, like i'm holding a crossbow in front of a blue fire and trying to avoid spikes. ReplyDeleteThis painting was created by a Greek artist named Wassily Kandinsky. His paintings were mostly inspired by musical compositions. In this picture, I can see bright coloured concentric circles set within square divisional angles. The selection of bright and dark colours, creates an attractive rhythmic pattern. He has used varied hues of reds, gold, greens and blues, from raw sienna to ochre and earthy golds to lush green. The Blues are as blue as a cloudless sky and the reds are as red the rubies. The warm colours bring a fiery tone to the picture whilst the cool colours represent serenity.
ReplyDeleteTo me, the picture gives an impression of brightly coloured iced Chelsea buns. It also creates an illusion of the bullseye.

DeleteAlmost half of the people leaving primary school do not know how to swim .I think that the people who do not know how to swim should get free lessons so they can swim.
ReplyDeleteIf you have swimming lessons and you still don't know how to swim then you have to try your hardest.To swim you require full swimming.
But many schools have said that when they go swimming some student,s like to mess around and waste there time to learn how to swim.
It is I'm portent to learn how to swim because if there was a flud and you had to swim you would not know ho to swim.

escape it . I think it is important to swim because you might save some

Do you think you should have indoor PE or outdoor PE?Well here's what I think!
ReplyDeleteYou should not have outdoor PE because if you didn't have the right clothing and you thought it would be sunny but it was rainy you would get super wet. Additionally, if you wanted to have outdoor PE think again! Having outdoor PE is worse than indoor PE!
You should have outdoor PE because if you wanted to become a footballer etc, you would need to do outdoor PE so you could learn football skills, football tricks etc.
After writing this i think you should not have an outdoor PE lesson.
