  1. Digestive System:

The digestive System is a process that obsorbe nutrience in your stumuch with asid and encines and pushed in the first bit of the small intestines and most obsorbe take place. To add with obsorbtion its mixed with bile produced by the liver and discharged from the gole blader dex.The digestive monicals pass in the blood vest more in the walls of big intestines are carried in portal lain in furthere passing storage. The liver is a rich red colour but axes liver is storage in its cells to a whitish colour. This is known as a liver disease.

    Organs:

A heart is made with lots of different tisues even muscel tisues. The brain does all the thinking and tells the body what to do.The heart pumps the blood around your body.Lungs are protected by ribs.Lungs bring air in and out of our bodys.Stumach digestes your food and breaks it down so its ready for the liver to get the nutrience.Your liver alsocleans it for your kidney.Finallt you go to the waste and wash it out

  2. The digestive progress happens before we even taste the food.Just by smelling the lovely food.Thinking about how delicious the food is going to be,you start salivating- and the digestive progress begins in preparation for that first bite.

  3. The digestive system is a process where your food gets broken up and sent into different parts of

    the digestive system e.g oesophagus,stomach,small intestines,large intestines.

Basically a person eats some food and it would go down along pipe called the oesophagus which

contains a soupy liquid called chyme. The food slips down oesophagus which flows ontop of the chyme

Did you know that the oesophagus is 30 meters long!

The stomach also contains the liquid chyme. Its job is to break the food up and send it tothe small

intestine. It firstly contracts and then its carefully soaked in acid the acid turns the food into liquid.

The small intestines make liquid travel in a long, thin tube. Some nutrients soak through your small

    intestines into your blood.

The large intestines suck water out of the sloppy leftover food.It helps the liquid travel much easier,

instead of going straight through the small intestine.Did you know that the small intestine is more than 3 times as long as your whole body! The large intestine is a further 1.5 meters (30ft) and the whole tube from the mouth to the anus measures about 9 meters (30ft).

  4. Organs of the Digestive System

The parts in the digestive system are: Salivary Gland,Pharynx,
    Esophagus, Liver,Stomach,Gallbladder, Pancreas, Intestine, Colon,
    Cecum,Appendix,Rectum,Anus.
The process of the digestive system goes through many organs. The whole journey of the food passing through the organs can take anywhere between from 10-20 hours.
The mouth:This is where the food is chewed= 1 minute.
The throat: Here the food is swallowed= 2-4 seconds.
The esophagus: The esophagus carried the food to the small intestine where it is turned to solid waste= 5-10 hours.
The stomach: This is where the food begins to be mashed and partially digested= 3-6 hours.
Small intestine:In this organ, the partially digested food has enzymes added to it= 2-4 hours.
The large intestine: This is where the leftovers of the small intestine are turned into waste= 5-10 hours.
Rectum: The rectum is where the solid waste is stored= 5-8 hours.
The digestive system goes through loads of organs and parts of the body like; the mouth, The throat, The esophagus, The stomach, The small intestine, The large intestine and The rectum.

  7. The digestive system is made up of the digestive tract. Organs that make up our digestive tract are the mouth, esophagus or gullet, stomach, small intestine, large intestine and rectum.

Digestion is the process by which food and drink are broken down into their smallest parts so that our body can use them to build cells and to provide energy.
Digestion involves mixing food with digestive juices, moving it through the digestive tract, and breaking down large molecules of food into smaller molecules.
When we chew food, our teeth cut and mash it up. The saliva mixes with the food to make it soft, mushy and easy to swallow. When we swallow, food is forced down our throat into a tube called the gullet. The muscles in our gullet squeeze the food down into our stomach. Our stomach, then squeezes the food and mixes it with acids. The small intestine takes food chemicals from the liquid food. The food chemicals are taken into the liver and finally, the digested nutrients are absorbed and transported throughout the body.
The waste products of this process include undigested parts of the food, known as fibre, which are collected into the large intestine. It takes water out of it leaving lumps of waste called faeces. The lumps of waste from the large intestine are pushed into the colon, where they remain until the faeces are expelled by a bowel movement.

  8. The Digestive system
When you chew into small pieces and swallow it. It mixes with saliva that comes from salivary glands. The food goes through the esophagus to the stomach. When the food is in the stomach the journey begins into small intestines where the digestive juices from the liver, gall bladder and pancreas mixes in the duodenum and help the food break down into smaller particles so the body can use it as energy. After the nutrients are absorbed from the small intestines, food now enters the large intestine where more of the nutrients such water and minerals are pulled out of it. At the end of the large intestine, the food is ready for another journey ….. Expelled out of the body

  9. The digestive system

    What is the digestive system?

Digestion of food occurs in a number of tubes such as ,oesophagus and intestine as the food passes through the body.A number of other organs help in digestion process by providing enzymes for the break down of food.

    Process of Digestion:

Mouth:The mouth is the first place of digestion. In the mouth the process of chewing food starts. In the mouth we have 2 enzymes such as salivary lipase and amylase which helps to chemically break down the food.

Oesophagus:The swallowed food moves into the oesophagus where the food is squeezed into small balls and the balls are pushed into the stomach.

Stomach:The food is pushed until it goes into the acid-pit where the food is turned into a schobby liquid.

Small intestine:The food goes through bumps [villi] and is later absorbed into the blood

Large intestine: The leftover food is left as waste and comes as pooh

  10. mouth
When you pick up your favourite dish to eat you may feel your mouth starting to water. This happens when the nose catches the sent and
    signals the brain.

    Throat
The bolus enters the throat ,which is also called the pharynx, from here
it further travels to the esophgus. The esophgus is the connecting muscular the tube between the stomach

    stomach
When the bolus enters the stomach ,the churns it to very small peases.
The digestive glands present in the food break it and mix it in the strong
stomach digestive juices and the enzyme made up of pepsin and hydrochloric acid

    small intestines
The intestines are divided into three parts: the duodenum ,jejunum, the ileum. The small intestines is a coiled tube that is located in the abdomen.

    Larger intestines
When all the untrien is and the water are absorbed from the bolus ,the inigesible matter which is soft but can take form , is passed into the large intestines. The large intestines has three components.

    1. The digestive system
The digestive system is a group of organs working together to convert food into energy and basic nutrients to feed the entire body. Food passes through a long tube that you call the alimentary Canal
The organ that makes up the digestive system are: The mouth, Oesophagus, stomach, small Intestine, Long intestine, rectum and anus.
      The mouth
Digestion begins in the mouth. The food is ground up by the teeth and moistened with saliva to make the food soft so it is easier to swallow. There is a special chemical called `Enzyme’ that breaks down and the food is swallowed.
      Oesophagus
Once you swallow the food it goes down a small pipe called the Oesophagus. At the end of the Oesophagus there is a small muscle that opens that lead into the stomach, if you eat to quickly the food gets stuck in those muscles and then you start to get Heart burn and stomach pain.
      Stomach
The stomach has both mechanical and chemical function in digestion. The stomach has special chemical called Acid and Gastric juice which helps to kill all the bacteria. The stomach has a digestive enzyme that breaks down the food further. The stomach must then empty its contents into the small intestine.
      Small intestine
The small intestine is made up of the duodenum, jejunum and ileum. The small intestine is 6-8 metres (22 foot) long muscular tube that breaks down food using enzymes released by the pancreas and bile from the liver. The duodenum is largely responsible for the continuous breaking down process, with the jejunum and ilium mainly responsible for absorption of nutrient into the bloodstream .Once the nutrients have been absorbed and the leftover food residue liquid has passed through the small intestine, it then moves on to the large intestine (colon)
      The colon (large intestine)
The colon is 6 foot muscular tube that connects to the small intestine to the rectum. The large intestine is made up of the cecum, the ascender (right) colon. The large intestine is highly specialized organ that is responsible for processing waste so that emptying the bowels is easy and convenient. Stool, or waste left over from the digestive process, is passed through the colon by peristalsis in the liquid state an finally in a solid form
      Rectum

The rectum is an 8 inch chamber that connects to the large intestine (colon) to the Anus. It is the rectum job to receive stool from the colon, to let the person know that there is a stool to be evacuated, and to hold the stool until evacuation happens.
      Anus
The anus 2 inches long. This organ is the last part of the digestive system. This is where the food goes down and you poo.

Digestion begins in the mouth . Here the food mixes with the saliva and becomes soft . The teeth and tongue break up the softend food. It then travels through the foodpipe what leads to the stomach . From here it goes to the small intestine. The digested food is taken by the small intestines blood. Then is transported to other parts of the body. The undigested food goes through the large intestine and is thrown out of the body from the
    anus.

  12. digestion is the break down of carbohydrates, proteins and fats into small soluble substances that can be absorbed into the blood. Lipases and proteases are used in biological detergents and enzymes are used in manufacture of food and drink. Digestion is the breakdown of large molecules into smaller, soluble molecules.

  13. Digestion is the complex process of turning the food you eat into nutrients, which the body uses for energy, growth and cell repair needed to survive. The digestion process also involves creating waste to be eliminated.

The digestive tract (or gastrointestinal tract) is a long twisting tube that starts at the mouth and ends at the anus. It is made up of a series of muscles that coordinate the movement of food and other cells that produce enzymes and hormones to aid in the breakdown of food. Along the way are three other organs that are needed for digestion: the liver, gallbladder, and the pancreas. The mouth is the beginning of the digestive tract. In fact, digestion starts here as soon as you take the first bite of a meal. Chewing breaks the food into pieces that are more easily digested, while saliva mixes with food to begin the process of breaking it down into a form your body can absorb and use. Also called the pharynx, the throat is the next destination for food you've eaten. From here, food travels to the esophagus or swallowing tube. The esophagus is a muscular tube extending from the pharynx to the stomach. By means of a series of contractions, called peristalsis, the esophagus delivers food to the stomach. Just before the connection to the stomach there is a "zone of high pressure," called the lower esophageal sphincter; this is a "valve" meant to keep food from passing backwards into the esophagus. The stomach is a sac-like organ with strong muscular walls. In addition to holding the food, it's also a mixer and grinder. The stomach secretes acid and powerful enzymes that continue the process of breaking down the food. When it leaves the stomach, food is the consistency of a liquid or paste. From there the food moves to the small intestine. Made up of three segments, the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum, the small intestine is a long tube loosely coiled in the abdomen (spread out, it would be more than 20 feet long). The small intestine continues the process of breaking down food by using enzymes released by the pancreas and bile from the liver. Bile is a compound that aids in the digestion of fat and eliminates waste products from the blood. Peristalsis (contractions) is also at work in this organ, moving food through and mixing it up with digestive secretions. The duodenum is largely responsible for continuing the process of breaking down food, with the jejunum and ileum being mainly responsible for the absorption of nutrients into the bloodstream.
